It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of Leon's passing on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Leon was a Veteran, serving in the Army. He never missed a reunion where he was often found making us laugh, lending a hand, or making friends. His special humor and contagious laugh will be missed tremendously.
His funeral was held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024,

The recent news of Leon Cooper’s passing has shaken us to our collective core. At this stage of our lives, whether it’s age, illness, or tragedy, we will continue to face the loss of our peers. In response, our collective alum community is starting a new initiative.
