In Memoriam

Mercier Dominique

Mercier Dominique

We all knew him as our friend "CC" and our hearts are collectively breaking again. CC passed away on July 14, 2022 from a brain aneurysm that led to a severe stroke. He fought in the hospital for two weeks before he passed.

Kirk Prentice shares:

"I unfortunately share with the group that we lost my best friend from our class, Mercier Dominque. I’m beyond heartbroken! We spoke at least every other week. To say that he was the nicest guy I know would be an understatement. I miss my friend!"

The Funeral Service was held at St Forts Funeral and Cremation in North Miami Beach, Florida on
August 3rd At 12:00 noon with a viewing, mass and final goodbye.

CC's wife, Chantal, has set up a GoFundMe page to help their family with expenses following his unexpected passing. If you feel so moved, please donate here:

Many fond memories growing up with CC in Maryland. Playing Football and Basketball on Snowdrop Lane with the Buckberg's. First time ever hitch hiking was when CC and I missed the bus to Argyle. My condolences to his family. To my class enjoy the reunion and enjoy each other. No need to remind you life is short.

Well said, Patrick. The loss of our classmates illustrates how short our time here really is.

my sympathies to CC's family and friends here on this site. i didn't know him so well, but i like reading some details about him and maybe will learn more about him at the reunion--and any others who we may want to "remember," briefly. I especially like remembering what jr. high they went to, i was at argyle too, if they had a favorite teacher or class or after school activity; what neighborhood they lived in. But, that is a lot of qs. back to the sympathies!
